When the SHTF happens, the lone-ranger is gonna die. Even if he is a Ranger. The only problem is: They'll AC-130 your ranch house. There is no "bunker up" plan that's going to work in the most-probable SHTF coming. I appreciate what John is saying about bunkering up on the ranch. That's a very short-term plan. It's not a "months-long" plan. It's just not.
It's entirely possible that all the gun-tubers are secretly working on plans for how to operate together to protect Americans and they just want to maintain OPSEC...so they never talk about it and they don't train anyone else. We shall see.
I think that its time that Americans start to understand what the Law says. In the first four words of the 2nd Amendment there are some concepts that the Founders ASSUMED would always exist. In our day and age, we don't even know what those words mean. We like the last four words of the 2A, but we have no concept of what the first four words mean. I don't see the "most capable" among us providing any guidance yet. They will live. I will die. Because I asked the question. That's okay. But someone had to.
Those who are not working on a plan for offense may last longer, and that's important. But you have to build a TEAM of people who can operate together. And some sort of Warrior Poet ethic includes protecting your community against lawlessness. NOT TALKING ABOUT VIGILANTISM!!! But let's be clear: When the magistrates are criminals, then Obeying the Law means that you better figure out how to maintain civilization.
A Warrior Poet is going to make sure that his loved ones can survive somewhere, but the Warrior Poet is not going to be at home. Because the Warrior Poet knows that being at home means he's being selfish...because his skills are needed elsewhere to protect and defend the Constitution. And soldiers don't hang out with the non-combatants. Only Hamas does that.
It's SOOO much a problem that US Senators are introducing bills to ban it. So...not my opinion. The enemy sees their vulnerability. There is no plan for civilization that doesn't include a plan for offense. There is no reasonable offense that doesn't include SOPs for interoperability.
