What is the difference between the Shield Plus and the 2.0? You mentioned for concealed carry the Sig P365 and the M & P 2.0. I tried both the Shield Plus and the P365 and couldn't decide which I liked the best. I'm going to go back and shoot them again. Are there any others you recommend to try?

I don't understand like when it says XL and different abbreviations on the same gun. I know on a Glock, there are different generations. I shoot and have taken several courses and have watched your Pistol 1, 2 & 3 classes twice. The training about trigger control stood out for me. I'm older and eyesight is not the best, but I figured out that trigger anticipation is the cause of my inaccuracy.

Hi, the Shield Plus is a slightly larger capacity version of the Shield 2.0.

The 365XL is a larger version of the 365. It's longer and has a longer grip and a higher capacity.

If you have larger hands or limited dexterity that extra size can mean more than the few extra rounds. The extra size also means you have to be more deliberate about how you conceal if you have a narrow frame.

I've grown to prefer guns that allow me to have a full grip including my pinky.

A better way if possible is to check them out at the local gun store if they have them in stock or as rentals.

You can always get pinky extensions for mags to allow your pinky to not hang off in space. I find this helpful for the Shield 7 round mag (probably shield plus too).

I have the m&p shield 2.0 and i dislike it very much, shoots fine and all. but after 6 years of EDC and more than 1000 rounds of ammo though it, its as tight as the day i bought it, i carry a Springfield hellcat now. the hellcat is a lot easier to lock the slide and do reloads with a full mag. if you go with the m&p get the 8 round mags with extensions so can get a better grip like Mr. Cribbs suggested

The M&P Shield + is a double stack magazine. Both the M&P Shield and M&P Shield 2.0 are single stack. That means you have a bit of a wider grip for the Shield + and a higher capacity. For instance, the shield 2.0 9mm standard has a capacity of 7+1 with the Shield + of the same grade coming in at 12+1 with extendable magazines. They all shoot about the same in my opinion. They are very solid carry guns.

Why not consider a Glock 43X? It has the highest capacity compared to all the above if you use Shield mags (15rds). I've owned and shot all the above. The Sig has probably the nicest trigger of the bunch, out of the box. However, my 43X has a new shoe on it which dramatically changed the overall feel. Shields just don't feel good in my hands......too small and snappy.
