Id like to attend a course but only pistol 2 is available. Ive done classes that involve pistol work but didn't necessarily focus on it.
What counts as "training equivalent to 'Pistol 1"?
What did the classes that involve pistol work involve? Also, do you shoot any competitions, do you have any ratings/rankings? I've "jumped" the line on many reputable classes by submitting a CV of my training and experience. I would suggest writing a bio of your pistol skills and experience and any documentation you may have available. Also, be honest with yourself. Watch Pistol 2 on WPSN and see if you are competent to execute the skills shown.
Good luck!
I'd suggest watching the Pistol 1 series of videos here: https://www.watchwpsn.com/pistol-1-1
I haven't taken any classes from WPS, and videos are no substitute for live training, but it should be safe to assume that if you have taken in-person training that included the topics in that video series then that would be equivalent.
One of my friends that trains gun safety uses the Mantis system at home. He said it's great.
