Other people's expectations can disrupt your life balance, literally steal your joy, and destroy your self-worth. We are always surrounded by a world of needs. Furthermore, those individuals who want to life successful lives of significane must realize that how we balance our lives will define our impact and legacy. In this video I talk about (1) seeing our limits, (2) setting boundaries, and (3) being content in what we can or will do. Remember, life is a marathon, and if you treat it like a sprint, you will not get far. Too many of our priorities are consumed by a tyranny of the urgent. We trade a good life balance for a people pleasing mania that leaves us burnt out and good for nothing. What many of you don't need, is to be told to try harder. What we all need to instead work at, is living smarter. Poet on.
