Wife and I are up between Gainesville and Ocala - horse country! We are novice homesteaders, learning as we go. Have a long ways to go as well.

I watch/listen to Nick Freitas, his wife as well as John and his wife. Unfortunately, they don't frequent their own sites enough so building them into part of one's group is not working for us so far. Does not help that they are also the same age as our kids. lol

Off grid with Doug and Stacey comes to mind. They’re are plenty of channels worth watching, but it all depends which rabbit hole you’d care to go down. I grew up in rural Maine, commercial fishing, hunting, freshwater fishing, gardening, butchering our own game. Foraging etc. I’m also the son of a talented, but humble, New England carpenter. My family roots (Dad's side) settled the New England area. Dad was born in central Maine (I don't know exactly where). Are you still in Maine?

Yessir. Midcoast. I’ve lived in Maine all my life other than a year each in Alabama and Wyoming.

We’re (my wife is) actually looking at a piece of property in Live Oak, FL. She’s a western horse trainer. We vacation to FL annually and would like to have a place to be able to come to all our own. Assuming this Clown world doesn’t go sideways first.

Take the I-10 EB, then the I-75 SB and take the exit 2 or 3 exits north of Ocala and you will be fairly close to our place. The World Equestrian Center is a few stone throws from our place as well. Look it up sometime. Huge does not adequately describe it!
