For those of you guys who are reading The Warrior Poet Way (and you all should, it is really worth the time you will spend on it), don't skip over Chapter 4 - Face Death Before You Die. I've identified a dozen people who I'm writing my Death Letter to. I've pretty much completed letters to my wife and my ex-wife. Man, those were brutal. I've got so much that needs fixed. But ya know, you can't go back, only forward. So because of John, my future is changing, My wife is noticing I'm different and I think she knows its because of John and John's book.

Keep at it. I'm sure you've got a bunch of guys on here rooting and praying for you.

I have not read the book yet but remember well what I call the shoebox. While getting ready to deploy I put my current life in a mental "shoebox" and considered myself already dead. It's hard to describe to those who haven't gone through the drill, and when I have tried I find most people looking at me with a mixed look of pity and horror. LoL
I think the guys who have the hardest time are those who are unable to unpack the "Shoebox" when they get home. I know it took me some time and my wife's grace to get mine fully unpacked.
