I tried to start to say some nice things thanking you at ATL, but I got overwhelmed. I am not used to speaking from the heart so it trips me up to try sometimes.
The trip was awesome, to say the very least. The chapel in the catacombs was the best part of the trip for me, and then to have it followed up by your benediction in the tombs was just perfect. But many other spots we visited got me feeling and thinking about God and Jesus Christ in ways I've been lacking for years..
Seeing many differing aspects of the churches and then the amazing natural spectacle of the Alps just gave me a renewal of kinds. It was a spiritual pilgrimage I desperately needed and will never forget. Every town we visited affected my spirit and thinking about spirit in some way (except maybe Pisa but that was awesome anyway).
On a personal note, your sons were really fun to hang with. They are certainly energetic spirits and straight-shooters. I should have sat with you and Becca at least once for a meal but I certainly enjoyed hanging with your dad (We had like ten Johns on the trip, right?) and all the others.
I hope to do another trip with WPS in the future. At the very least, you've made me eager to return to Italy very soon.
God bless and keep up the good work.
