Hello fellow warrior poets. I'm looking to purchase a Ruger SFAR as a budget AR10. I've never had an AR10 and don't want to break the bank on one but I've learned to agree with the mantra buy once, cry once. However the price point on the Ruger intrigues me. Does anyone here have any experience with this particular rifle? If so, what are your thoughts. If not, do you have some recommendations for a budget friendly ar10? TIA.

Can't go wrong with Aero. Trex arms put out a great video on the Aero AR10.

PSA is an option also. Buddy of mine bought a complete upper and lower from them and is pleased. I didn’t put any rounds through it, but from a construction standpoint the gun felt solid. No matter which way you go, once you pick a manufacturer stick with them. The AR10 is not mil spec’d like the AR15 so it is not guaranteed to fit if you mix and match uppers and lowers.
