Looking for some guidance on camo patterns and a color pallet for Iowa. A third of the year is lush green, a third of it is all brown everywhere, and a third of it is a foot of snow. Having a hard time figuring out what to paint my rifle and what rig to invest in when at any moment it could be -40 and totally barren, 10 and snowing hard, or 105 with 99% humidity. Also tricky when the landscape is mostly super flat and open but with pockets if EXTREMELY thick woods. do I lean into the browns of the corn after harvest, or what?

I struggle with this as well being an Iowa resident. I feel good ole M81 is decent for late spring into mid summer. Multicam for most of the rest of the year when its not as green. Pull out the over whites when the snow is on the ground. I run an od green/tan/black rifle that blends into vegetation year round pretty good. I am no expert but feel this is a good starting point.
