Hello everyone,
I'm somewhat new to the world of cigars, but I'm looking to expand my horizons in that field. I've found that I like medium-bodied cigars, but I'm not particularly picky. Any recommendations?
Hello everyone,

woof, thats a can of worms. First off, get yourself a good humidor. Second, Cohiba is a pretty good baseline to start with and since the embargo with Cuba has been lifted, you can actually get real ones now. That being said, I've smoked cigars for YEARS and have recently in the last couple of years switched to pipe smoking. I find it much more enjoyable than a cigar, and the smell is more pleasant to those around me.
I would recommend pipes over cigars maybe start with a luxury Navy flake, or something from 4th generation. I find the Tabaco taste better and it is much cheaper than cigars, but If you are stuck on cigars prodomo is always a good choice
I'd really recommend the Cigars International monthly subscription box. It's $35/mo (including shipping) for 8 cigars and in my experience they're always a fantastic value and will force you to try stuff you otherwise probably wouldn't.
Also, I'm a huge fan of Rocky Patel - you can't go wrong with anything they make and they're a pretty based company lol. Their Edge series is a great value. Also a big fan of Brick House fumas for a value. Like $50 for 20 and unlike other value smokes I've tried, they are pretty well made. Anything Oliva is also as safe a bet as it gets.
One of my all time favorites is AJ Fernandez Bella Artes. You also can't go wrong with AJ Fernandez.
Purists don't seem to like v cutters, but since I got one, it's been a game changer. Way less issues with unraveling.
Enjoy! I'm enjoying as many as I can until my wedding and inevitably wind up smoking an order of magnitude less than now lol
don't waste money on a humidor - I use a 'tupidor' tupperware, works even better, for a fraction of the price. I get all my cigars thru cigarplace.biz, and each shipment comes with one of those humidity controller doohickeys which is all I've ever needed to keep them at a perfect 69% humidity. I'm fairly new to cigars too, and most of the brands mentioned above are all good. Enjoy and FJB!
