I am looking to expand my medical gear and wanted to get some recommendations around a good (proven) AED to purchase. Any tips around what to keep with it (spare battery, extra pads, etc..) would also be much appreciated. I have searched the Internet but felt I would ask some folks who may have personal experience with them.

Scrolling through the Forums and saw this! I am a paramedic and a Nurse. I would ask your local fire departments which Cardiac monitors they carry and get an AED that is compatible with their Machines! This would save some time for them because often times we will have to switch to our defib pads because they are incompatible and it would also ensure that there would be a surplus of whatever pads that they use in your area. Life packs by physio-control and ZOL are very common!
