1. Make sure you know what the laws are in your area before doing anything to secure your property using passive devices. Warrior Poets don't break the Laws. They uphold them.
2. Make sure that you consider your context (e.g. grandkids, neighbors, mailmen, etc.). Being a Warrior Poet means protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Therefore, if your actions and choices hurt someone who is not an assailant or attacker, your mission is Failed. And every Warrior Poet knows that Mission Failure is not an option.
Do you have any tips, tricks, and strategies for passive area denial and/or creating layers of defense? Please share if you can. Would love to see them. Thanks in advance.
I came across this. While it may not work for specific contexts, it may have application. Would a spike strip be useful in a get-home kit or bug-out kit if needed to deploy to get rid of unwanted company?
Here's an example of a door barricade device tested by police and developed to stop school shootings. BTW, most people don't have a post-tension concrete slab home, but if you do? Do NOT drill into your slab! It's dangerous. Get in touch with someone and find out. It is improbable that an older home would have one.
