I just finished a patrol in the rain. I field-stripped my rifle and pistol and dried, cleaned, and lubricated them. Is there anything else I should do? Also, my WPS sling is still damp; any suggestions on how to dry it? Currently, I have it hanging.
When winter comes, is there a different process with snow?
Coming from a hunter it sounds like you are on it. Giving your rig a once over each time it gets wet or dirty will save you headaches down the road.
