What is your daily / weekly dry fire regimen?

I tend to structure my dry fire more towards the competitive shooting side but have lately been doing more with carry gear.

I finally broke down and purchased a NeoMag carrier so my reload practice should get a bit more consistent.

My dry fire routine:
Using typical EDC setup and everyday clothing and starting from a relaxed standing position.

-Pick a general spot for aiming
-Draw, present, squeeze trigger when sights are on (distance determines level of accuracy needed)
-Recognize the “click”
-Tap, rack (slide should lock)
-Recognize the empty magazine
-Perform a tactical reload
-Get back on target
-Start over

This helps me incorporate things I want to improve:
-1st shot, on target and as fast as possible
-recognizing the “click” and empty mag and reacting faster
-tactical reload; didn’t think to practice this going into class, I was caught off guard.
-getting back on target and recognizing the threat has been stopped

My dry fire regime. Everyday with my carry EDC and I use a laser trainer to check my trigger discipline and shot placement and I always, always check and double check my pistol to make double sure there's no ammo in it or the chamber before I ever start. Safety first last and always!

Dry Fire Training Cards - look them up. A deck of cards with varying drills and challenges. Helps to fight boredom and gets you off the X and moving. Do not stand still - never stand still.

After watching TRex Arms video "Can Airsoft Translate to Real Firearm Skill?" I bought the Springfield XDM sanctioned pistol and use that quite a bit for drawing from concealment moving and hitting steal and changing mags. Trigger on that airsoft pistol is close enough to my XD9 PRP trigger with the take up, reset, and pull weight that it doesn't throw me off when I dry fire with my XD9. The airsoft pistol and mags fit my tier1 axis slim holster, so that's a huge bonus.

I do a lot of dry fire with my actual pistol, but that's all just static where I'm finding a target and working on trigger reset.

What I've found is I don't get a chance to shoot often, but when I do get out I find that my dry fire has made me better and better with the only difference is managing recoil which is nothing on a 9mm with proper grip.

I created a checklist that contained most of the important skills to practice, and broke some of them down into individual components. It has check boxes that you mark off for every ten dry fire reps. Over the years, what I found most usefull is that it shows me the things that I *don't* practice very often.

Whenever I feel like dry firing, I go over to the "menu" and pick out whatever I have done the least of and give it a quick 10 reps.
