There is an interesting paradox between being vulnerable and being strong. When you think of being a strong person, your mind may imagine someone that cannot be injured easily -- be it physically and or emotionally. The reality is though, people are meant to run on loving relationships. This is where our joy, passion, and real strength come from. This love though, allows us to be vulnerable. The people we love can easily hurt us or be used against us. To cut ourselves off from these people though is to cut the roots off of a tree. The truly strong are always vulnerable, and their vulnerability makes them strong.
