There are great ear protection options for shooting out there: Peltors, MSA Sordins, Comtacs, Liberators, Howard Leights, and a bunch of others. As far as ear protection goes, I'm looking for 2 separate solutions. The first solution I'm looking for is something for normal use on the range for shooting. The second solution I want is for tactical application so running comms through them and ensuring the sound is awesome and the whole system is incredibly tough means a lot (these will be really expensive as you might have guessed). This video is really just about the first option - what ear protection I chose for normal range shooting. To this end, I want something comfortable, durable, inexpensive (relatively speaking), great sound amplification, lightweight, and with a slim profile. I chose the Howard Leight Impact Sports as my top choice with the NoiseFighters gel ear pads upgrade.
