If I was killed in Vietnam, or in one of the World Wars, or any other war, what would I want people doing today in my honor? How would the friends I lost in the Global War on Terrorism want me to honor them?
Me personally...I'd want them to enjoy.
To rest.
To have some fun.
But I would also want them to have moments where they stole away and reflected. I would want the sacrifice of my friends to be remembered. I would want both laughter and tears on Memorial Day.
One additional way we as a company will celebrate is to give. The Warrior Poet Society is a proud monthly sponsor of Warriors Heart, a 501c3 dedicated to helping service members dealing with addition, PTSD, and TBI. For this memorial day, we plan to give an extra financial gift over and beyond our monthly giving.
