Back in the late 80's and early 90's there was this cartridge called the 41 Action Express. It had a .40 caliber bullet in a case with a rebated rim that was the same size as a 9mm. The 41 AE was the predecessor to the 40 S&W which would come along in 1990. The .41 Action Express, or 41 AE, could be fired from a standard 9mm pistol with a conversion kit that included a barrel, recoil spring and magazine. We take a look at the ballistics of the 10mm as compared to the 41 AE and talk about the history of this interesting .40 caliber cartridge that had a short life.
