This course lays the foundation for all future rifle training. Safety, range etiquette, weapon operation, accessories, fundamentals of fire, shooting/ready positions, rapid target acquisition, target transitions, clearing of stoppages, rapid fire, and warrior mindset are the main subjects tackled in this essential course. Though this training is designed for beginners, the subject matter and technique allows students to build realistic skills that can survive the test of stress and small time constraints.

  • Intro to Rifle | Chapter 1

    John introduces the Rifle 1 course with an overview of the AR15, and the gun handling technics needed to be proficient. Gear is good, but it comes down to your skill. Never bring a pistol to a rifle fight.

  • Gear | Chapter 2

    John reviews rifle specs along with matching combat technics. Strategic gear setup gets you combat ready. Trick out your rifle with optional hardware.

  • Safety | Chapter 3

    John reviews the safety systems and protocols for handling your rifle. Gun handling technics are covered, along with the most efficient setup for your rifle. Context of use is critical to your overall setup of your weapon. Prepare to take your stance.

  • Zero Theory, Trajectory, and Ballistics | Chapter 4

    John demonstrates bullet travel and optics to understand your zero point. Selecting your best ballistic average for your setup. Learn the relationship of trajectory and ballistics.

  • Zeroing Your Rifle | Chapter 5

    John demonstrates loading and unloading the AR15. Trigger technics are instructed with controlled breathing and respiratory pause. Setting up the optics and adjusting for zero are demonstrated with live fire targets.

  • Ready Ups | Chapter 6

    John teaches the proper technique to transition from a position of readiness to on target. The right low ready position helps you create efficiency to be fast and accurate. Proper placement allows you to bring up the gun to your eye. Slow is smooth - smooth is fast.
