Joe Farewell in conversation with John Bartolo
Joe Farewell and John Bartolo have an interesting conversation about the ammo price hike and shortage, the need for open dialogue, the importance of training, Shot Show, training instructors and a host of other engaging topics.
1:00—John starts the show by thanking the sponsors. He welcomes his guest Joe Farewell who is a shooting coach, 3-gun national champion with seven years of law enforcement and SWAT experience.
2:25—Joe talks about the ammo price hike and shortage. He refers to the supply versus demand, and who controls the supply. He feels that a couple of large organizations control the supply of ammo and he gives the example of primers.
15:08—They talk about the need to open the dialogue about the pro-choice republicans and democrat gun owners to remove the fear aspect of guns.
19:05—Joe talks about closet gun owners and their need for training.
19:45—They talk about streaming and the opportunity it throws out.
22:40—Joe talks about competing in 3-gun competitions.
25:15—They talk about Shot Show. People will rethink going to participate in shows after this one year of not having any shows. Is it worth spending on shows just to participate?
32:25—Joe talks about instructor training being important to him. Entertainment versus education.
40:00—They talk about the importance of getting into a dialogue with gun haters to create a respect pattern.
51:42—They talk about the NRA.
54:08--They talk about good brands with soft goods, infra-red and thermal products, optics companies with products that are affordable.
55:47—John thanks Joe for coming on the show. He ends the show by thanking the sponsors once more.
22:20-- “The end product is having responsible gun owners that are still buying products from the companies that sell them. If you can create a good demographic of consumers that are buying the right things for the right reasons and if you can support that, then that’s where it is at.” Joe Farewell
28:45-- “You have to find what you do well and do more of it. And you have to develop what you are doing well.” John Bartolo
