Hey guys, this is probably going to be one of the dumbest posts, but my simple mind always gets confused when sighting in guns. In this case, I have 3 handguns that need to be sighted in (notch and post).

If the bullets are striking too far right, does the front sight need to move left or right? What rule of thumb can help me remember this?

Lastly, what distance do you guys do for handguns? In the past I've started at 10 and then moved to 15. Obviously in this case it's windage adjustments only.

most hadguns are setup to move the rear sight for windage adjustments, not the front. usually front site is adjusted for elevation in irons. if you do have a driftable style dovetail front sight you move the front TO the POI, IE, if you are shooting right you drift the front sight right. if you have a fixed front sight as a lot of modern pistols do, you can only move the rear, which is the opposite. if its shooting right you need to drift the rear sight to the left slightly

the RDS on my edc is set at 15 yards, the one on my 34 is set at 25
